Forum Working Groups

Since its formation, the Forum has found that the use of small working groups is a useful way to explore issues of concern. Working Groups can involve both Forum member organisations and non-member organisations which have particular expertise, and are also a good way to engage with practitioners.

In June 2007, the Forum's first Working Group (on the Physical Custody Environment) completed the first stage of its work and produced its Report.

The work of the Forum's Family Liaison working group is ongoing. More details on its work will be available to view shortly.

In early 2008, the Forum began work on setting up a Working Group on Cross-Sector Learning, to examine how lessons are learned within different custodial sectors and how learning can be followed up by implementing changes in practices. More details on this work will become available to view as the work progresses.
